Find out where you can see me read, hear me blab, or get your copy of Word by Word signed. (No silly slide presentations unless explicitly noted, sorry.) Check back often: new dates are being added on the regular!
PORTLAND, OR, March 22
1005 W. Burnside St., 7:30pm
The last time I was in Powell’s, I pointed to an empty spot on a shelf and asked a passing employee if I could just live right there. They gave me a very wan smile, and then I realized that they probably get fangirls like me asking that all the time. Sorry, random Powell’s employee! I will not make that joke this time!
SEATTLE, WA, March 25
Campion Ballroom at Seattle University
914 E. Jefferson St., 6:00pm
I’ve never been to Seattle, but my husband tells me it’s a cool town, and I’m eager to meet people who tell me that they used to drink Starbucks before it was This Whole Giant Corporate Thing. This will be a longer talk, not a reading per se, and you need to buy tickets ahead of time. I promise it will be worth the $5! (I’m a cheaper date than Roomful of Teeth.)
DALLAS, TX, April 5
Texas Library Association Conference
Dallas Convention Center (room TBD), 9:45 am
Anu Garg of A.Word.A.Day and I will be teaming up for a short program called “Words Matter: The Power of Shaping Public Rhetoric to Carry Our Messages.” While you’ll need to be an attendee at TLA to see this talk, there’s a good chance that I’ll add more Texas appearances to the calendar, so watch this space. (Figuratively.)
LITTLE ROCK, AR, April 28
Arkansas Literary Festival
various locations around Little Rock, deets TBD
I have never been in Arkansas, though I have driven through Arkansas several times in the dead of night. I’m looking forward to seeing what the state looks like in daylight, and meeting the fine folks of Little Rock! Y’all have a lot of deer that like to graze right next to the highway, I can tell you that.
